In a thought-provoking one-man show, performance artist Ibrahim Miari portrays the complexities and contradictions inherent in a shared Israeli-Palestinian identity with “In Between,” Thursday, December 8 at 7:00 PM and Sunday, December 11 at 2:00 PM at the Penn Museum, 3260 South St.

Miari, the son of a Palestinian Muslim father and a Jewish Israeli mother, recalls his childhood in Israel and explains how his life is defined “in between” two worlds.

The play touches on identity, culture, religion, traditions, and the ongoing tensions between different groups. After the show, Miari will offer a “talk back,” which welcomes the audience to ask questions, discuss issues the play brought up for them, and engage in dialogue with each other.
